, the hosteler dalhousie is a family-friendly property. please note - kids are allowed only in private rooms but not in dorm rooms, the hosteler also believes and promotes lean hospitality, essentially meaning that we are believers of self-service, no porter/valet/etc, and are a no frills hospitality company. this is ingrained in our operating model in order to provide excellent services to our guests while keeping the accommodations costs as affordable as possible. we have also adopted a pay-as-you-go model for certain amenities such as locks, toiletries and towels on a chargeable, pay-as-you-use basis, which is communicated transparently to guests, consumption of alcohol & drugs is strictly prohibited at our hostels. in case anyone is found indulging in such activities, anywhere inside the hostel premises, we shall be liable to take strict actions ultimately leading to asking you to vacate the premises immediately and permanently blacklisted. the guest shall also be deemed unfit to continue any further at any of our hostels in case of non-adherence of general policies, misbehavior (physical/mental/verbal or in any kind) with other guests or hostel management, theft, vandalism, trespassing, nonpayment/delay in payment of dues, other guest inconveniences or any such unwarranted actions. in all such cases, the guest shall be asked to vacate the premises immediately without any refunds, outside food is permitted only in designated common areas and inside private rooms. it is strictly prohibited inside dorm rooms, smoking is strictly permitted only in the dedicated smoking zones within the premises, in case anyone is traveling in a group of 2+ more people, we do not guarantee the accommodations arrangement for all the guests in the same dorm room. allocation of rooms happens in an automated manner subject to availability at the time, varied floor arrangements, etc. right to admission is reserved, early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and at the discretion of the management and may attract additional charges, in case the guest wants to meet the visitor, they can do so in our waiting area or common spaces. note, visitors are not allowed inside any of the rooms, at any time, visitor timings: : 9 am to 9 pm, 100% prepayment is mandatory at our hostels on or prior to check-in to ensure guaranteed booking, only female guests are permitted to check into the female dorm. if a male guest books this room type, check-in will be denied as per policy. modifications to the booking are allowed only within 60 minutes of reservation. no refund will be issued if the booking falls outside the cancelation policy period, specific policies may apply to different hostels under the brand at specific times of the year and the same shall be communicated at the time of check-in, the hosteler shall not be held responsible for guest’s loss of personal belongings and it shall be the responsibility of the guests to keep their valuables safe and secure, we do not have any contact numbers (hostel level). guests can reach out to us via whatsapp messages/call on +91 9810187717, in case you are arriving earlier than the check-in time, you can hang out in the common area/cafe until the check-in time. however, in case you are arriving as early as 7 am, it is highly recommended to book a dormitory bed or a private room for the previous night as well, guests with local ids are allowed in this property, parking is available but subject to availability (limited to five bike spaces), silent hours: 10 pm - 8 am, hot water timing: 6 am - 11 am and 7 pm - 11 pm.this property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties, please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. you can use the special requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation, guests are required to show a photo id and credit card upon check-in. please note that all special requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply, payment before arrival by bank transfer is required. the property will contact you after you book to provide instructions, guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian, parking is subject to availability due to limited spaces.
