For dinner out, the Seabreeze Hotel is a local favourite for meals and events, about a 20-minute walk or a few minutes' drive. Back home, the private courtyard has a BBQ and an outdoor table for evenings outside.
Further afield, Eungella National Park and the Whitsundays make good day trips.
