Travel Purpose: business

Positive: Overall, our stay was good for a group outing, but the property could benefit from better management and maintenance.

Negative: We stayed at this farmhouse in Auroville for an office outing. The property is spacious and affordable, making it suitable for medium to large groups. The hosts are attentive and available if needed, though they aren’t very interactive. A few things to note: the resort is located in the Auroville forest area, so there can be snakes around — caution is advised. We arrived at night, and the pool water had been treated earlier that evening, which caused some itching, but we understand this is part of maintenance. The ground-floor rooms and kitchens weren’t very well maintained, and overall cleanliness could be improved. Breakfast was quite expensive, and there’s no tea/coffee facility available on demand. There are also restrictions on playing music and using the pool after 10–11 PM, so it’s not ideal for a house-party vibe, but may work better for families.
